The buzzing sound of tattoo artists hard at work filled the exhibition hall of the Rhode Island Convention Center all weekend. Narragansett had a booth set-up wedged between Motif Magazine and Rockstar Body Piercing. The 'Gansett Girls were there selling our new black t-shirts and getting signatures for the petition. Narragansett bottles are featured at the Convention Center's bar, so fans could enjoy a 'Gansett while checking out some great tattoo work. Aside from getting inked, rock bands like Dead Season and Of Hope And Rescue took the stage. On Sunday, the Providence Roller Derby held a bout and then stopped by to have a 'Gansett. There was even a Miss Tattoo beauty pageant and we got a nice shot of 'Gansett Girl Heather with the previous winner.
The 2009 Boston GreenFest was held this past weekend in City Hall Plaza located in Downtown Boston. The festival kicked off Thursday evening and wrapped up on Saturday. The Boston GreenFest is organized by The Foundation for a Green Future Inc and is described as “entertaining education festival celebrating the many ways we can create a better world by greening our neighborhoods, our communities and the entire Greater Boston area.” The festival played host to all sorts of vendors including food, arts & crafts, automobiles and a slew of others. Narragansett Beer was enlisted to help keep the attendees hydrated as well as supporting some pretty amazing local/national musicians. Live performances included sets from Boston legends The Neighborhoods as well as The Click 5, Dirty Truckers, Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents, Mr. Lif, Mighty Mysitc, Cassavettes and many other talented acts. The night was wrapped up with a great set from Memphis natives Lucero.
