Forbes recently published the article, Best Cities For Singles 2009, and both Boston and Providence made the cut for the top 15. With Providence coming in at number 15, we also ranked number one for culture. Here's what they had to say:
"This New England metro ranks so-so in most measurements, but when it comes to culture, it's No. 1 with 137 museums, 41 live theater venues and six stadiums and arenas. These include the Culinary Archives & Museum at Johnson & Wales University, as well as the Museum of Art at Rhode Island School of Design."
Congratulations to Boston for coming in at number two on the list. Here's what Forbes had to say about beantown:
"With over 40 colleges in the Boston area, it's no wonder the town is a hotbed for singles. The college crowd frequents bars including the Beacon Hill Pub on Charles Street in Beacon Hill, as well as the Model Cafe in Allston, near Boston University. Working singles prefer wine bars and pubs like the Sevens Ale House, also on Charles Street."
