There's only one word to describe this past weekend....EPIC! We had two crazy nights for Sound Session. It all began with our Hi Neighbor stage on Friday night. Which was suppose to be at Grant Block across from Tazza, but with the weather we scrambled to move it indoors. Luckily our good friends at Jerky's invited us in since they had only a DJ spinning. The show must go on and it most certainly did. All the bands including Reborn A Weapon, The Family Township, McAlister Drive, Keep Me Conscious and the 'MERICANS were outstanding. It turned out to be a great show and one of the strongest most diverse line-ups ever.
Then on Saturday we set out to change history. We teamed up with or good friends at ProvidencePinup.com for our Miss Hi Neighbor float in the Carnival Parade. And as you can see from the photos and video it came out fantastic. The Providence Pinup crew did the hair and makeup for the girls transforming the eight of them into pinups. Their lovely photographer Krista Handfield got some great photos that we will be posting here. Lulu Locks and her team are truly professionals and know what they're doing. Then we got on the truck and met up with Clammie, Tall Boy, The Beer Fairy and the awesome marching band, The Extraordinary Rendition Band. The parade was so much fun and immediately following it the girls all went over to the Speakeasy Providence Vaudeville stage for the Miss Hi Neighbor pageant. This one pretty much topped them all. Our guest celebrity judge was Miss Wensday Greenbomb. All the girls were great it was another tough decision, but in the end Andrea was crowned the Miss Hi Neighbor winner. Thanks to everyone for making this year's Sound Session so memorable.
