Weekend Recap: Quahogs, NE Brewfest And Other Promos

It was Quahog week last week on Cape Cod. With that came a ton of great events aside from Doug the Quahog predicting 13 weeks of sunshine this Summer. Narragansett beer hit the Quahog Republic Dive Bar in Falmouth on Wednesday night to witness their first and soon to be annual Stuffed Quahog Eating Contest. The above video has it all. After 90 seconds, 7 stuffies and a tall boy to wash it down, Glenn Frost came out on top. No matter how you chew it, that's a lot of clam and stuffing. Now that's what they call a quahogaholic! The Official Beer Of The Clam will definitely be there next year as well. Here are some photos from the event.

Saturday was the New England Brewfest in Lincoln, NH. So the Gansett team loaded up the truck with plenty of New England's famous lager and headed to the Granite State. Everyone was loving and so happy we were back. Good times indeed and of course they helped support our cause by drinking their part and signing our petition. The one lady pictured below was absolutely ecstatic when she won a Gansett t-shirt. You bet your bottom dollar we'll back for more beerfests in NH.

TGI Friday's just started serving Narragansett tall boys for $2.75. And it's a good thing too. We kicked it off last Tuesday with the Gansett Girls hitting their Attleboro, Warwick and Seekonk locations. They played rebus puzzle games for prizes and had everyone sign our petition. Below are some ohotos from the Seekonk spot. They were having a reunion party for some former employees and brought back the stripped uniforms from the 90's and even offered some old menu items.

It was a hot and sticky weekend here in Rhode Island. For some reason it makes your feel a little bit better when you are looking at the water. So the Gansett Girls headed to East Greenwich to hang out on the deck at the Harbourside Lobstermania yesterday. There was a band playing and plenty of cold lager and light tall boys for just $3. In fact this crazy crowd drank them out of light tall boys. Must be the enjoyable flavor in the heat of Summer. Here's some photos that topped off the first full official weekend of Summer.
