This weekend totally rocked. The 'Gansett Girls kicked it off with a show at Jerky's Live Music Hall on Friday night. Pistol Shot Gypsy melted faces with their hard-hitting rock style. The band consumed several Narragansett tall boys before and after they took the stage. Fear The State, Blind Assumption, and Frequency Control also put on one heck of a show. Fans had a blast and the 'Gansetts were going down nice.
On Saturday, the 'Gansett Girls headed to the beach for promos at Amalfi and the Wheelhouse both in Narragansett. They said, "Just about everyone at both bars were already drinking 'Gansetts when we arrived." It was a perfect afternoon to be on the deck at Amalfi enjoying a 'Gansett and the view of Narragansett bay. Everyone who bought the beer showed their support by signing our petition and in return they got some great 'Gansett gear. That night at the Wheelhouse, a band called Funk Nugget made everyone "Jam Out With Their Clam Out!" Check out the photos below.
AS220's Foo Fest returned this year and took over Empire Street in Downtown Providence from 1 PM to 1 AM on Saturday. The 'Gansett Girls were there helping pour Narragansett drafts for everyone and raffling off 'Gansett gear. Plenty of the fans were helpful in signing the petition. There was some great music from Made In Mexico, Black Clouds, and Sun Ra Arkestra. Almost everyone was walking around with a 'Gansett in their hands shopping for some fabulous art by local artists. Here's a video of the girls pouring some 'Gansetts.
