The Great International Spring Beer Festival took place this past Saturday at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Downtown Providence. Boy was it bananas! With 2 shows the day is always nuts. Over 50 breweries were sampling there beers and the Gansett booth was by far the most popular. The line was around the corner and everyone wanted lager, light and porter. The 'Gansett Girls were covered in beer from pouring off the taps so fast. Clammie went around for photos with the crowd and got down to the music. Then on Sunday the madness continued with the Oyster Shuck-Off contest at 85 Main in Putnam, CT. Not only were competitors shuck and slurping oysters, but there was Narragansett tall boy chug contest. Talk about a Sunday-Funday! The 'Gansett Girls were helping serve the beers that were only 2 tickets. More events should have drink tickets like this. For this side of Connectict this was the event of the season.
