Weekend Recap: 120th Party And Troy Brown

We had another successful 120th Anniversary Celebration this past Saturday. This time we hit the South Shore of Massachusetts for the Cabby Shack in Plymouth. If you missed it, then just check out the above video and witness some of the fun Clammie had. The ‘Gansett Girls were on-site with our petition to help build a brewery and all sorts of great prizes. Gansett's own Brent Parker gave a speech about our 120th year. Those who took the pledge received a loyalty card, a wooden nickel for a free ‘Gansett that night and entered into our shwag raffle. They even had the opportunity to record their own pledge video and we’ll be posting them later on the site. Check back to see when our next party will be.

Former New England Patriots player, Troy Brown was in town this past Sunday. He came out to a few Narragansett tastings in Wakefield in the afternoon where he met with fans and was signing autographs. At night he went to the Rock 'N Jock charity concert at the Crown Plaza in Warwick. Steve Smith & The Nakeds headlined the show which benefits The Matty Fund charity for children with epilepsy. The highlight of the evening was definitely the special celebrity guest appearance by The Big Man. Yes that is Clarence Clemens, tenor sax player from the E-Street Band, pictured with Troy Brown and Jimmy above. He came out and jammed with Steve Smith for a few tunes. They are all out at Potowomut Country Club today for the golf tournament portion of the Rock 'N Jock event. Good times for a good cause.
