This Weekend: The Return Of The Brew Fest Frenzy

I cannot make this stuff up. There are two amazing beer fests happening tomorrow and both make it really hard to choose from. If you're a carnivorous meat-eater who craves salty snacks, then Boston's Bacon and Beer Fest is for you. If you have a seafaring soul that craves historical culture, then the first ever Newport Craft Beer Fest is your winner. Then again you should have made this decision weeks ago because both festivals are sold out. See, I told you they were amazing. If you're lucky enough to have tickets, then stop by our booth at either for some Hi Neighbor fun. Here's more info on both festivals: 2012 Boston Bacon and Beer Festival - Saturday, April 28th 2:30PM-5PM Kicking off 2012 Boston Bacon and Beer Week, the 2012 Boston Bacon and Beer Festival will be Saturday, April 28th from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the House of Blues Boston. Restaurants and purveyors from all over will be preparing their tastiest bacon based dishes for you to sample paired with beers from New England's greatest breweries. If that's not a good enough way to spend a Saturday afternoon, you should know that it's also a benefit for the local hunger relief organizations Lovin' Spoonfuls and Community Servings. Your ticket gets you in to Bacon and Beer Fest where you'll be able to sample the dishes and the beer. There will be other people there with the same intention, so remember to share. The First Annual Newport Craft Beer Festival will be held on April 28th, 2012 at the Great Friend’s Meeting House Lawn in Newport, RI from 2-6pm. Over 30 breweries will be on site to show off their hand crafted brews to 500 craft beer lovers! This festival will celebrate Newport’s rich brewing history (dating back before the American Revolution!) and proceeds will benefit the Newport Historical Society. Brewers will travel from as far as California, and as close as Newport’s North End! Guests will be given the opportunity to try small samples of a spectrum of craft brews and converse with the folks who made them. The South Shore Homebrew club will be brewing on site and happy to answer questions of those curious about learning to brew themselves... Acoustical music will set a relaxed tone while restaurants from the up-and-coming lower Broadway area serve up tasty nibbles!
