We know this weekend isn't St. Patrick's Day, but Rhode Islanders love having parades to celebrate the season. Since three major cities (Pawtucket, Newport and Providence) in RI have parades for the holiday, they all hold them on different Saturdays. Pawtucket is usually the first Saturday in March which is tomorrow. The parade starts at noon leaving Jenks Jr. High School and their is a post-parade party at the Kelleway Center on Main street. Plenty of food and libations will be served. Afterward head over to Doherty's, Celtic Pub or Galway Bay and have a Gansett. So get your green sweatshirt out and start the St. Patrick's season off this Saturday in Pawtucket.
