Run in the Mud is 6-Mile Extreme Obstacle Endurance Race held at Stratton Mountain this Saturday, July 13. The Extreme Wolverine Challenge is a race series consisting of a six mile race with 18-20 military style obstacles placed along a series of difficult mountain trails. Each race participant will participate as an individual. Teams are encouraged to be formed. A team must consist of at least 4 racers but is not limited in the number of participants. Each team will need to select a category to represent police, fire, military, corrections, educators or civilian. All participants will be timed during the 6-mile obstacle endurance race with teams using their cumulative racing time of its top four finishers as the basis of its team score. Each team will be competing for team category prizes, including the chance to win a charitable gift made to the charity of their choice as the winning team! A unique feature of this race series is the charitable giving component. Each divisional winner, 2nd and 3rd place teams will win a charitable gift prize that will be donated to their charity of choice. Each team will designate their charity of choice at the conclusion of the race. In addition, donations will be made to Forever Our Heroes Foundation and Stratton Mountain Foundation.
