Did you know the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce hosts one of the last Tastes in the Pioneer Valley? It’s true! And this year’s event ’ the 19th Annual Taste of Amherst ’ will beat all others by being bigger, better and tastier.
The Taste of Amherst is a signature community event filled with food, family and fun. The event is held on the beautiful, pedestrian-friendly Amherst Town Common which is bordered by favored area attractions such as the historic Lord Jeffery Inn and the prominent Amherst College.
From June 17th - 20th, the number of visitors for the four-day event is expected to reach nearly 20,000.

On Father’s Day George's and Gansett will be having a Backyard BBQ upstairs on their deck overlooking the beach and channel. Burgers, dogs, chicken, shrimp and whatever else they decide to throw on the grill. Narragansett Beer will be there giving away our famous Gansett Father’s Day ties from 3 to 5 pm too! So don’t keep dad chained to the grill all day on his day, bring him down to George’s for some cold Gansett drafts and let them do the grillin’.
