"This is Not Your Children's Motocross Race!" That was the marketing slogan 7 years ago and it remains true today. Don't read into it too much - it's not what you think. Simply put, we wanted to run a race for the adults, to let Dad (and Mom) be the star for one race. We don't offer kids classes because EVERY weekend is for the kids - this is for the older "kids".
The goal of the event was (and still is) to provide a fun day of racing complete with prizes, cash, and babes (BYOBabe), have a killer party with lots of Gansett that night and then (for those who survived) to ride the track again during an invited practice all day the next day. We want to celebrate what we all love - riding our dirt bikes!
Because of this, entries were always limited to insure plenty of quality track time for those who came out to play. This event was never about mass entries, money grubbing corporations or your lawyer - it was about remembering why we love this sport in the first place - because we all love to ride!
The format will be similar to year's past; Load in Friday night and party, Saturday Race, Saturday night BBQ, Party, Shenanigans, etc and a Special Sunday Open Practice (Limited to first 200 racers - must race Saturday to participate) called the Infamous "Hangover Ride Day". There is more but if we tell you everything, then what fun would it be?
