PROVIDENCE ’ After attending an East Side fundraiser, Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown got back in his iconic pickup truck for another campaign stop with fellow Republican John J. Loughlin II. But not before loading two cases of Narragansett beer into the back seat.
"I can’t get it in Massachusetts," said Brown, before adding, "That will last me three years."
Brown, who lives in Wrentham, made a point of expressing his fondness for Rhode Island.
"I’ve been in Rhode Island like 500 times," he said. "We eat here, we go to shows here. We go to the drive-in every other weekend, at the Rustic.
"This is like my second home. I feel connected."
