What’s the perfect drink to pair with a Fenway Frank this upcoming baseball season?
The answer: a ‘Gansett Beer.
Tuesday, April 9th marks the beginning of the long awaited baseball season for the Boston Red Sox. It’s our friendly reminder to honor your favorite beer, and more importantly, the original beer of the Red Sox, at the next baseball game or viewing party.
For thirty-two years, Narragansett Beer proudly sponsored the Boston Red Sox and was the first alcoholic beverage company to do so. Our partnership with the team was pivotal for the company. Throughout those years, we had a radio broadcast for the games and received mentions from Curt Gowdy, the voice of the Red Sox. Spanning from 1951 to 1966, he addressed fans shouting, “Hi Neighbor, Have a ‘Gansett!” With the season approaching, it is only fitting to grab your ‘Gansett and then your seat.
On a warm spring day, nothing goes better together than beer and baseball. While we may not be the official sponsor anymore, many fans still choose to quench their thirst with an ice-cold ‘Gansett.
