It was a great day of cod fishing on Narragansett Bay with Capt Mel True and FV “Fishnet.” On the boat Sat was Dave and Ted and Capt Mel True. They ended the day with 28 cod over 24 inches. The ride out was very rough but, the weather improved as the day went on. The big fish of the day was caught by the Captain and was about 17 pounds. Tons of whales and sand eels in the area and one pilot whale came just 10 feet from the boat. The big pod of whales stayed about a mile away from us.
