Are you kidding me? No we are not. Tons of New England based bands head down year after year to what is the biggest entertainment festival of the year. After all Austin is the new Cleveland. So why not bring New England's beer with you. Just like the Wandas (pictured above) several Gansett bands are grabbing delicious cases of tall boys to enjoy in Austin, TX the week of South by Southwest. With industry leaders in music, film and interactive media just about everyone will be there. And if that's not enough for you, the Red Gorilla Music Fest will be taking place in Austin at the same time (March 17 to 20). Why not have a 'Gansett? It's the perfect fit. New England bands and New England's beer. Some of the bands you may have already known of through our "Band Of The Week" blogs like The Family Township and TAB the Band. But we also have HOWL, Keep Me Conscious, the Wandas and The Low Anthem making the trek. We'll be sure to grab lots of photos and videos while we're there. So make sure you check our blog for updates and recaps from all of the bands. In fact the Wandas already grabbed some beer and loaded there camper with it. Then posted this photo to their Facebook.
