Each year, the world’s best sailors and fastest boats race for the oldest trophy in International Sport - America’s Cup. Narragansett Beer sponsored the America’s Cup during the 1960’s-1980’s so it’s only natural that with our return, we sponsor the event once again. We are proud to announce the Narragansett Bermuda Style Pilsner as the OFFICIAL beer of America’s Cup.
This easy-drinking pilsner is made with 2-row pale and carapils malts for a clean and slightly sweet profile. We then use a kiss of German Hallertau hops for a slightly spicy and flowery compliment. The sessionability and carbonation make this beer a go-to for hot summer days on the water. The Bermuda Style Pilsner will be available year-round through the completion of the America’s Cup in Bermuda in July 2017.
Try the Bermuda Style Pilsner with spicy food such as buffalo or sweet Thai chili wings. True to the name of the beer, this Bermuda Pilsner pairs wonderfully with island inspired dishes such as jerk chicken. You can also pair this beer with lighter, milder fare- anything made with soft cheeses (think brie or fresh mozzarella) and even desserts like vanilla or lemon pound cake.
