Narragansett Beer is proud to announce our involvement in a series of great summer music festivals that we are appropriately calling the "Hi Neighbor Summer Music Festival Series".
The series actually kicked off last week in Providence with Sound Session, a week-long multi-cultural music festival put on by The Providence Black Rep Theatre and the City of Providence. The musical entertainment featured everything from hip-hop to rock-n-roll, and included headliners Afro Sonic Collection, Lee Wilson, Claudia Acuna, Marc Cary Trio, Fairhaven, N.O.R.E., & Ron Browz. The festival culminated on Sat July 11th with carnival-like atmosphere on Westminster Street. The highlight for ’Gansett was maneuvering our flat-bed truck through downtown Providence with our promo team, Clammie, & "Sharks Come Cruisin’" on board for the carnival parade. This weekend, the series continues with the Indie Arts Fest which celebrates independently produced art, music, performance and locally sourced goods and products. Admission is free, and featured entertainment will include an eclectic mix of live music and DJs, burlesque, spoken word, experimental dance, and a compilation of film shorts & films accompanied by live improvised sound environments. The Exchange, a diverse marketplace featuring craft, music memorabilia, jewelers, silk-screened posters, hand-made clothing, fine art, food/beverage pavilions and community advocacy and environmentally conscious groups round out the offerings. Headliners include: Chinese Stars, Triangle Forest, Keep Me Conscious and more. For more info check out indieasrtsfest.com
