Captain Jack's Restaurant
706 Succotash Rd.
Narragansett, RI 02879
(401) 789-4556
The first cups of clam chowder, the first bag of clam cakes, and the first plate of fish-n-chips were served at this South Kingstown, RI landmark in 1972. It was a 40 seat restaurant with a coffee counter and was only open from May to September. Still owned and operated by the Piemonte family, Cap'n Jack's Restaurant is now a 250 seat, full service restaurant, open year round, and located on a picturesque salt marsh a quarter of a mile from East Matunuck State Beach. They still serve house-made clam chowder, fish-n-chips, and many other seafood specialties... not to mention fantastic desserts. Cap'n Jack's is a "must stop" for anyone traveling through South County, Rhode Island.
