General Assembly, 95.5 WBRU, and Narragansett Beer are pleased to announce The Coming Weak Reunion Show at the Fête Lounge! Back when the Living Room was still open in Providence, bands like The Coming Weak would play there at least once a week to a full house. That venue might be gone, but Providence is once again thriving with places like Fete and Firehouse 13 now. So when The Coming Weak were planning a reunion show in their hometown, naturally they thought to book it at one of these new hot spots. It seems like yesterday this band was a finalist in the 95.5 WBRU Rock Hunt and hard to think their last show at The Met was over 2 years ago. The Coming Weak can be described as alternative, punk, rock, pop-punk, emo etc., but one things for certain, they're all around good fun. You can still find their records on iTunes. Produced by Michael Poorman, the tones and sounds they used in the studio were ones that others dreamed of. Take their studio sound and place it on the stage and you almost can't tell the difference. Their live show was always a blast with spinning guitars and bass, drumsticks flying around, and singer Tim White getting the crowd amped. Rather than compare them to other bands (Yes we know Fall Out Boy got back together), The Coming Weak would always state artists they like such as Therefore I Am, Chris Rosenquest, A Faylene Sky, Life On Hold, and Keep Me Conscious (ehem). Needless to say, we're stoked for this show. In 2008, the band was highlighted as Absolutepunk.net's "Spotlight Band Of The Week," (February '08), named as one of the top 10 unsigned bands in DJ Rossstar's "Unsigned Band Contest II" (June '08), won a spot on Warped Tour via the "Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands," (July '08), named a semi-finalist in Harpoon Brewery's "Best Unfiltered Band Search" (August '08), as well as named to Absolutepunk.net's "Absolute 100" list of bands to watch out for in 2009 (August '08). http://www.thecomingweak.com/ War Games and Valencourt opening the show.
